I disagree to the closure of this thread. While it may be old, its subject matter is, as one might call it, "timeless". I'm still updating the blog; its activity is currently sporadic at this time because I'm busy. It was supposed to be a general thread for people to suggest art if they wanted to see it featured there or not. It's not like a wiki related discussion that requires a consensus, or a very specific question. While bumping for the sake of bumping is discouraged, that thread, if properly bumped, should not be against the rules to post in.
Re-opened for specified reasons (I actually talked to the community about this kind of sittuation on NW chat just 1 week ago, but didnt get any input).
Also, I don't think it is in the proper forum. Shouldnt it be moved to General Discussion/Anything goes board as Nitromians Tumblr isnt really an affiliated site at this time, and neither about Wiki News?
Yeah, I'm not sure why I put it in the wiki news. I think it was because I wanted to emphasise that the thread was calling for community contributions from Nitrome Fanfiction Wiki. But if you can move it, so be it.
After looking back on the Festival I realized it was a mistake since it turned out not Nitrome related therefore I suggest that you will delete the page from the Wiki and erase the unNitrome related pictures everyone uploaded, I will link you all the content to be deleted so that it won't be difficult for you:
I would like to take this opportunity also to tell you that I started a new school with many demands and therefore in the near future I will not have the time to be in the Wiki,If I will find the time in the future I will let you know.
I have a Wiki I started for my friends and I to put our ideas on, but the infobox templates I have don't work on the Wiki. I tried creating the infobox template, but I can't get it to work. Could you help me figure this out?
I am not Mystery but I can tell you this: your template's code is actually the syntax you use to apply to other pages. On your template right now, you're telling the template to retrieve the code from its template page, which has the template syntax. That's why you're getting a template loop.
To actually import the template, you'll need to go into the source mode of the template you want to copy. In the case of Nitrome Fanfiction Wiki, you would go to this page. Copy that entire page to yours, then test the template on your wiki's sandbox.
Alternatively I would suggest trying the new infobox markup. It's a preinserted Wikia style infobox and I feel like it may completely override the old table-style infoboxes we've been using here.
The reason why generating markup doesn't work is because you don't actually have an infobox copied; you have the syntax for using the template on the template page. Your page goes into a template loop is because your current code tells the template to retrieve information from itself, which is the template that tells the template to retrieve information from itself. In other words, there's no real basis for your infobox code.
