What are Trophies?

Trophies are collectible items found in Super Smash Nitrome 2. Trophies represent various characters, items, and other elements from the many games released by Nitrome. They range from well-known to obscure. Collecting them is optional, and do not affect the gameplay of the other modes. They are figurines found and unlocked by completing certain challenges to unlock them (they can also be found in Adventure Mode) and they provide a stationary image of a character, item, or other element along with information about said character or item.

Trophy Room

The Trophy Room can be accessed through the Vault in the main menu of the game. The Trophy Room is where you can view trophies you have collected and read information about each trophy.

Trophies

Trophies will be organized into categories by game. Along with the name of the trophy, the description they have with them when viewed in the Trophy Room and the method of unlocking the trophy will be included.

In Final Ninja, the only thing left of him is his brain, which has been ported into robotic exoskeletons in order to keep him alive. Takeshi kills him after he sends assassins into Takeshi's peaceful garden.

Eskimo

Eskimo was the star of the Frost Bite series and the spin-off game Thin Ice. In both games she killed monsters, but in Frost Bite she did so while scaling mountains. In Thin Ice, she killed monsters by carving holes in the ice around them to drown them in the icy water below.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Eskimo Alt.

Her grappling gun and ice skates are put to good use in SSN2. She uses her grappling gun for both her neutral and up specials. However, they still work differently. Her neutral special reels opponents towards her so that she can attack. Her up special is used to tether onto ledges, but if it hits an opponent it can reel her towards them for a flying knee jab attack!

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Furry Monsters

The furry monsters resemble goats, or maybe even mountain rams. Unlike rams though, they only have two legs. They walk sideways and are harmful to Eskimo on contact. They have curved horns on top of their heads.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Hornheads

Hornheads are monsters that inhabit the mountains. They have a spike on their head the prevents them from being stomped. Eskimo has to tip them over with her grapple gun before moving into to stomp on them.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Bull Beasts

These two-legged beasts resemble bulls. They have two sharp horns on their head that are harmful if Eskimo lands on them. If they spot Eskimo, they'll charge towards her at full speed and try to impale her with their horns.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Antler Apes

These gorilla-like creatures walk around using their hands and have big antlers atop their heads. They will stop and growl when they come to the edge of a platform. They are the first new enemy encountered in Frost Bite 2 and despite their antlers are safe to stomp on.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Arctic Birds

These avian enemies fly up and down and attack by extending their tongue. They are green in color and pesky in nature. They also appeared in Nitrome Must Die, but Eskimo doesn't have a machine gun to kill enemies, just a simple grapple gun.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Crying Monsters

Is it just me or does that bush have eyes? Look! It moved! Oh, it's just a crying monster. These little bear-like creatures are incredibly shy and hide in bushes. They'll be pulled out of a bush they are hiding in if you shoot the grapple gun at them. The best way to be safe about crying monsters is to shoot every bush, just to be sure none of them are crying monsters in disguise.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Bat Beasts

Its as if a Hornhead sprouted wings! The spikes on top of their heads makes them invincible to stomping. The only way to kill them is to pull them out of the air with the grappling gun. They are often found in caves flying together in horizontal patterns or even in circular groups.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Small Apes

These small apes are very fast and very furry. They move forwards along platforms and are harmful on contact. They cant even be jumped on! The grappling gun is needed to kill these guys. They also appear in Nitrome Must Die, keeping their determined stride.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Stoneskins

Stoneskins are enemies indigenous to the mountains of Frost Bite 2. Unlike other enemies that have protection against stomping from above, these guys have stone armor that protects them from getting stuck with the grapple gun. They have to be stomped on twice to kill them.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Flying Mammoths

Purple flying mammoths...yeah, it couldn't get any weirder than that! These enemies fly back and forth through the air and drop eggs down to the ground in an attempt to hurt Eskimo. After a few egg bombs they get dizzy and plummet to the ground for a little while. I take it back, it can get weirder...

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Furry Worms

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Giant Walrus

In Thin Ice, these giant monsters created shockwaves when they slammed on the ground. In Frost Bite, they stomp on the ground after leaping mightily into the air. When they touchdown, icicles fall from above. These monsters have large white tusks and gigantic mouths that take up a large portion of their body. They also have antlers on their head. Even though they are the largest creature living in the mountains, they can be easily killed with the grappling gun.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Woolly Rhino

The first boss of Frost Bite 2.It has brown fur to keep it warm. It looks like a bigger, brown version of the bull beast, but with an extra set of legs. It attacks by charging down Eskimo with its sharp horns.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Giant Ape

The second and final boss of Frost Bite 2. It lives all the way on the highest mountain, Mount Neverest. When Eskimo enters its lair, it roars mightily and releases Bat Beasts and Small Apes from its mouth. It must be a big bully, since it sits back and lets the other creatures do the fighting for him. His weak spot is on top of his head between his horns, which can only be accessed after killing the Bat Beasts that swarm around it.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Cyclops Demons

Out of all the monsters Eskimo faces, these have to be the scariest! They bounce up and down over the ice, flicking their tongues as they follow Eskimo around the ice. She has to try to lure them into an ice hole.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Iceheads

A cousin to the Hornheads, the Iceheads have developed a projectile attack. They fire several ice-esque spikes out of their head that come raining down a few seconds later. Eskimo can dodge them by keeping an eye out for their shadows.

Kapowski's Boss

An obese and strict man who requires a hover chair to get around. He shouts angrily whilst shaking his fist in a magnificent fashion. Glass

Glass is the primary material the Glassworks is made out of. It serves as the surface that Kapowski can climb around on throughout each level. • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Graveyard Shift Trophies

Zombie Slayer

Also known as Shooter, this character was not seen in Graveyard Shift since it was a first person shooter game. Instead, he was represented by an aiming reticule that showed where he would fire or attack. He'd pick up weapons throughout the graveyard like the sword and grenades, which he'd then use to slay zombies and rescue maidens.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Zombie Slayer Alt.

In SSN2, we finally get a look at Zombie Slayer's appearance. He's a seasoned warrior clad in combat clothes and with his hair cut into a mullet. Just like in Graveyard Shift, he is armed with a gun, but now he also has the grenades and sword to start out with. He uses the grenades in his neutral special to blow up foes and his sword to thrust upwards into the air, serving as his recovery as well as an attack.

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Zombies

Zombies are the main force you face in Graveyard Shift. They are usually quite easy to mow down with a gun or sword, though occasionally they'll launch a ball of slime your way. Even if you blast their head off their body still tromps around aimlessly; to kill the whole zombie, aim for the torso!

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Triffids

Ever hear of Plants vs. Zombies? Well these plants are working alongside the zombies. They sprout from the ground and then wander around, spewing poisonous goo at the shooter. To kill these things quickly, aim at their roots! Then you'll really get to the root of the problem! Teehee!

  • To unlock: Get lucky; hope that this trophy appears during one of your game mode playthroughs!

Titan Zombies

Titan Zombies are zombies that have been modified using mechanical parts and a little Frankenstein-style construction. The fireballs they shoot are powerful, and while you never have to get too close to them, that poison gas looks hazardous. Their weak spot is located on the yellow light that is fixed on their chest.

Rusty

Rusty is an old robot. His name suits him too, he looks like he's been left out in the rain one too many times. He makes his way across the barren and wreckage-filled wasteland, avoiding other robots that have gone haywire. Once he reaches the powerhouse at the end of a level, he charges himself up by plugging his electric-plug-like face into the outlet.
